Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how ChuteSort handles information when you use the app. The short version: ChuteSort collects no personal data and sends nothing off your device.
ChuteSort does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. The app operates entirely on your device.
The only data the app creates is the session and weighing records you enter yourself (animal weights, pen assignments, session names). This data is stored in a local SQLite database on your iPad and is never uploaded anywhere.
ChuteSort requests access to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) solely to connect to your Bluetooth weight scale. The app:
ChuteSort has no user accounts, login system, or cloud synchronisation. All session data lives exclusively on the local device and is under your full control.
ChuteSort does not include any analytics libraries, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking frameworks. No usage data is ever shared with third parties.
ChuteSort is designed for use with the Scale-Tec POINT Scale. This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way connected to Scale-Tec or its parent companies. "Scale-Tec" and "POINT Scale" are trademarks or trade names of their respective owners.
Micah Wiebe is not liable for inaccurate or unexpected weight readings that may result from firmware or software updates made by Scale-Tec, changes to the scale's Bluetooth protocol, or any other changes to the Scale-Tec POINT Scale outside of ChuteSort's control. Users should independently verify critical weight data before acting on it.
You may export your session data at any time using the in-app export feature. Exported files are saved to or shared from your device using the iOS share sheet. We have no access to anything you export.
Your data persists on your device until you delete it within the app or uninstall ChuteSort. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently.
ChuteSort is a professional agricultural tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here with a new "Last updated" date. Because no data leaves your device, changes will not affect data you have already recorded.
